Implementing activities in the special atmosphere of celebrating the nation's great holidays, Vinamilk representative - Mr. Do Thanh Tuan, External Relations Director said: “The country is at a very special historical milestone, commemorating 50 years of reunification. Vinamilk launched the Milk Fund program at this time with the desire to appreciate the previous generations who protected and built the Fatherland and to continue the mission of caring for and developing the future generation of the nation. The milk boxes given today not only contribute practical nutritional supplements but also encourage and motivate the children to strive in their studies to become useful citizens in the future,” Mr. Tuan expressed his hopes.
Also on this occasion, the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund awarded 30 scholarships to 30 disadvantaged children at Tan Thong Hoi Primary School.
Receiving affection from Vinamilk and the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund, Mr. Mai Sinh - Principal of Tan Thong Hoi Primary School, a school educating 573 students on the “steel land” of Cu Chi - expressed his emotion at this meaningful gift.
“The education of patriotic tradition, remembering the roots, and the sacrifices of ancestors to win independence and freedom for the country is always a focus of the school. The milk fund that Vinamilk and the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund gave to the children during these special days is a very meaningful gift to help them understand more deeply the spirit of 'drinking water, remember its source' of the nation; as well as feel the care and attention of the community and society throughout their growth process,” the Principal shared.

Persistent efforts for the mission of “care”
Being one of about 70 locations receiving milk from the Milk Fund program on this occasion, a representative of the City Youth Social Work and Vocational Training Center expressed great appreciation for the affection and the joyful, warm activities that Vinamilk organized for the children.
“The milk fund that Vinamilk and the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund gave to the children is a very necessary additional nutritional source to help the children develop comprehensively, both physically and intellectually. This is a practical resource along with the state to care for less fortunate children,” said Mr. Le Ba Hoang - Deputy Director of the center.

Present at the event, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hien - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund highly appreciates Vinamilk's sense of responsibility in the persistent journey accompanying the Fund. “In its series of activities, the Vietnam Children's Protection Fund always has the companionship and cooperation of many individuals and units. But few units have a long-standing and sustainable journey like Vinamilk. From Vinamilk’s program, the message that every child should have equal access to the best quality nutritional products has been spread and inspired many other organizations and businesses to follow, helping more special circumstance children develop comprehensively, integrate, and contribute to society,” Ms. Hiền shared.
Launched in 2008, Vietnam Milk Fund is the largest and most sustainable nutrition program for children to date, with the goal “that every child has the equal right to access the highest quality nutritional products.” To date, the program has been continuously implemented for 18 years, granting nearly 43 million glasses of milk to nearly 550,000 children in difficult and special circumstances across the country.
